It's July, the biggest month in Central Florida for family vacations. If it's time for you to pack up the family auto and head off to your dream destination, a trip up north into the cooler mountains, a stay at the Disney parks, or a holiday at the beach with friends and family, then you may want to pay heed to the advice of Charles Kuralt. He said, "Thanks to the interstate highway system, it is now possible to travel across the country coast to coast without seeing anything."
There are ways to be sure you see something! One family suggests that while on trips they never eat at a restaurant or shop at a store that they could patronize at home. No McDonalds? No Wal-Mart? That's a sure way to find 'the road less traveled.'
And, if you have impressionable youth riding along, you must remember to drive the way you wish your children would.
